Dow recently donated Fire Prevention coloring books and pencils to local schools in St. Charles and St. John parishes during National Fire Prevention Week in October. Here, Helmond Lumar, Dow employee and volunteer firefighter in St. John Parish, visits with West St. John Elementary School to present students with the Fire Prevention coloring books. The volunteer firemen taught students fire safety tips such as having a working fire alarm in the house, how to check for hazards and how to practice an emergency escape plan. The coloring books donated by Dow showed these students ways to help keep their family safe from home fires.
