Nawzer Parakh, SCO Site Leader

Nawzer Parakh is the global Business Manufacturing Director for Dow’s Glycol Ethers  and Amines businesses in the Chemicals and Intermediates Portfolio, and is Site Leader at St. Charles Operations in Louisiana.

Parakh joined Union Carbide Corporation in 1968. Since that time, he has held a variety of research and development, manufacturing and leadership roles in various countries. In 2001, Parakh relocated to St. Charles Operations in Hahnville, Louisiana and was named the Global Business Operations Director for Dow’s Glycol Ethers and Amines businesses. As Business Operations Director, Parakh has global responsibilities for the operation of the 11 plants globally with sales revenues of $1 billion. In 2004, Parakh gained additional responsibilities by also becoming Site Leader at St. Charles Operations.

Parakh graduated with First Class Honors with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India.

He and his wife, Kitty Parakh, live in New Orleans, Louisiana and have two grown children.
